Amylynne (Baker) Murphy was originally from North Reading, MA, & moved to Windham with her parents in 1979. Dabbling in many interests over the years, Amylynne has been in publishing since 2000 when she began selling note & Christmas cards with her artwork on them. She  transitioned to a freelance researcher, writer & photographer in 2005, and has been a part of the team at Windham Independent News since April 2014.

She & her husband Romeyn "Todd" Murphy, also formerly of Windham, have four adult children between them. In their free time, they enjoy wandering the historic & natural sites throughout New England together. Romeyn is an occasional photograph contributor to the Windham Independent when those wanderings include Windham.
